Bringing Korea's PPP experience
to the global infrastructure market

After establishing the legal basis for private investment in infrastructure in 1994, Korea has continuously expanded its PPP programme, achieving remarkable growth in both quality and quantity and accumulating extensive experience and knowledge.

Building on this, the Global PPP Promotion Association (GPPPA) was established in June 2018 to:

• provide education and information on the core competencies of PPP to governments, companies, academia and organizations pursuing investment-development projects overseas that require construction, operation and financing; and
• strengthen the global competitiveness of the PPP industry through research, policy recommendations, professional training and expert networks that create jobs.

The global construction market is undergoing a paradigm shift, from the traditional Design-Bid-Build model, where the client secures construction funds, to Public-Private Partnerships that require private investment. In this environment, global PPP is no longer an option but an essential business area.

GPPPA will faithfully serve as a partner contributing to the development of the global PPP sector.
